If you're carrying resentment because someone "made you" do something detrimental to you and your loved ones, it's time to accept responsibility for your choice.
Nobody "made" you do anything. Even captives aren't forced - they're presented with choices and consequences they may or may not like. And they choose.
Let's admit what really happened in the
situation.
You felt stuck between a rock and a hard place. You chose one option to avoid the consequences of the other.
Someone may have put horrible choices before you. But you chose. And your choice had consequences, results, and outcomes.
Stop harboring resentment toward others for choices you made.
Accept responsibility for your actions. Forgive yourself for the choice you made.
